Regarding content owned by contributors: Information is for everyone
Any content posted here is completely free to use and redistribute. Claiming ownership and/or authorship of pages you didn't make (here or outside this website) is the only thing prohibited. Besides that, everyone is free to share, copy, or paste information from this wiki to somewhere else, including the official wiki. Attribution and/or linking to the source is very appreciated, but not required.
Regarding content owned by third-parties or copyrighted material: Fair-use defends teaching purposes
Fair-use is a grey area. Not even lawyers can make 100% accurate statements on the matter that apply to every case. Each case is different from the other and only a judge has the final word. However, I can confidently claim that the usage of material in this wiki falls under fair-use, being a non-profit, transformative website with the purpose of teaching, and due to the usage of the copyrighted material (in this case, references to RimWorld's code).
That being said, either Ludeon or anyone who doesn't want their material to be used here can send a Discord DM to "alexispopcorn" or an email to [email protected] to let me know that so I can replace said material if asked to do so.
